She is not going to run in 2012. Accept it.
She would be a fool to run if the filing deadline is over for SC already and since I don’t think she is a fool...I doubt this rumor is true. Of course if the media’s lynching of Herman Cain works all bets are off.
I’ve not made any decision yet. I’m trying to keep an open mind until there’s actually a primary scheduled.
Although he isn't the "reliable" source referred to on this show, Chuck Heath Jr. did say he is still trying to convince Sarah to enter the race as have thousands of Palin supporters from all over the country.
The obstacles she needs to overcome are within her own mind and heart (and most importantly, her family’s mind and heart). Like a horse at the starting gate, Palin was ready to run. She said she took a family poll and announced her decision. I take her at her word on this.
Some time ago, I said her psychological angst would be reduced instinctively to choosing to be a mama grizzly to her family or a mama grizzly to her country.
I believe she made the wrong decision, but I don’t fault her motives or her decision. It was her’s...and her’s alone to make.
Nothing exterior will change her mind...unless there is first an interior shift in the family dynamics.

I’ve seen these rumors over the last few days, but unless Palin herself says something about her decision, I’m not listening.
Turns out they hate Herman Cain, too.
I have no problem voting for him instead of Sarah.

Thanks for the ping. There is a disturbance in the force, as evidenced by the speculation over Palin’s alleged reconsideration. I’d like to see her run, but I think she’ll only get one shot so it has to count. Therefore I think it’s too late this time around. My only hope is the fact that I am always wrong in divining her intent (laughing)!
I didn’t find the story credible from the get-go (he said with suspiciously excessive bravado, almost as if trying to cover up his true feelings). Yes, I entertained it for about 30 seconds, but only because the pain of not having her in the race is so great. But no, I vote against shooting the “reliable source.” We are all grown-ups here, or should be. Getting a thick skin against disinformation attacks is just part of the job. (sigh)
I'd support her (still got her bumper sticker on my truck) - don't think she's runnin', I think we have what we have right now.
I'm still pullin' for Bachmann, but think it'll be Perry, Cain, or Gingrich - all flawed, but all infinetly better than the Zero.
If she wasn’t a laughing stock after declining to run, this move would make her a laughing stock.

Not much of a chance of this. I think Sarah wanted to let her kids grow up and to let Piper stay in Alaska. She may become an energy adviser but that’s all this time around. At this point I’m not to sure that Sarah would ever want to live in DC but would rather encourage Americans to be fully engaged in our future.

Here is the message that needs repetition lest we forget: The media and both political parties want voters to believe elections are about choosing "our leaders" for a reason. If the body of our laws restricted government to its legitimate functions, political leaders would have very little power and nobody would care much who exercised it.
But the truth is, political leaders desire unlimited powers and the ability to change the law puts the power to gain ever more power within their grasp.
As long as individual people can make their own decisions about how we live our lives, We the people have the power and our freedom. The choice of which leaders run the government would not be terribly material most of the time.
But when political leaders have the power to change the law in a way that limits the number, or the nature, of the decisions that We the people can make for ourselves, then we have lost our freedom and WE the people must focus on the issues of the election in such a way that is most likely to allow us as individuals to recover our lost freedom.
Sometimes the candidates matter as Avatars for the issues, particularly in the primaries. Cain and Palin are easily understood Avatars that matter a lot.
In contrast, most Republicans and conservatives would be delighted to see Newt win the Republcian nomination, but Newt would be a terribly flawed choice and a delusionary avatar. Proof? Try this.

Moved on when Sarah said she was not running. Always willing to back up and listen (then decide) should Sarah change her mind. Thinking, this time though, Sarah will wait and not run, based on Sarah’s words of not running (imho), but have been wrong before.
Worthless without a statement from Palin.
