I agree, so why are you bringing the word up? This is a habit of yours, using unnecessary words that reek of acrimonious insults hidden behind a passive facade. Other than revealing yourself to be a grumpy old fart I'm willing to bet you are a master of the passive/aggressive mode of dealing with others.

You really are out of date. I think the last person to use the word ninnyhammer instead of the simpler word stupid was Tolkien. But he had good reason to use such an< out of date insult as he was creating mood for literary reasons, whereas your usage merely illustrates your inability to communicate well.
