i vunder how much dee clok is off? I show 11:23 am.
I’m on Central time so I have almost 30 min. to try, but I won’t. If everybody tried to make a post at the same time, wouldn’t it crash FR’s servers?
depends on your timezone
It is strange; why are the FR clocks about 6 min fast? It’s been that way for a while.
Change your computer settings to CST and try again when the minute hand comes around next time!
10/10/10; Sunday, October 10, 2010: Singularity Summary
Most predictions and opinions concerning 10/10/10 are based on or are rooted in its mathematical uniqueness as a number.
101010: There are three possible outcomes:
1. Something good happens There is absolutely no scientific basis for this belief. There are no known logical premises for this belief. The belief that something good will happen is based solely on spiritualism, faith, and/or innate optimism. This belief is not necessarily a bad thing; we dont know everything; the probability is not zero.
2. Nothing happens This is the most likely scenario. Just because an unusual date number sequence occurs doesnt mean that something will happen. Usually its a non-event.
3. Something bad happens There is absolutely no scientific basis for this belief. There are no known logical premises for this belief. The belief that something bad will happen is based solely on pessimism of reality. This belief is not necessarily false; after all, things are generally/usually a mess. The probability is not zero.
please do not harrass management over the clock issue. The fast clocks allow us to leave work 7 minutes early each day. Defrauding the company of $500,000 over the course of a year.
I was listening to Glenn Beck for a bout 2 minutes this morning. He and Stu had paper hats on for the arrival of 11-11-11, 11:11:11. It was so annoying I flipped to Kilmead and friends...THAT is a good show.
I’m goin to wait till 2:22 on 2/22/2222
Because of the error in the original Julian Calendar, over a period of time the extra minutes and seconds accumulate to a full day and the Spring Equinox arrives faster, or a day earlier in the civil calendar. The Spring Equinox fell on March 25th in the “Original” Julian Calendar
11/11/11 11:11:11 will really happen at 11/11/11/ 11:23:45 if my swag is right.
With the FR Post clock being six minutes fast (a sign of another looming meltdown), this might get tricky......by the way it’s 9:11 PST.
Best wishes to all my fellow FReepers!
11:11:11 @ 11-11-11 CST WOOT!
