Something like a 250 Ninja gets pretty good gas mileage, though not as good as a scooter’s, and is far more useful. Reliability is also ridiculously high.
The low curb weight, though, is a major issue.
49cc and under here in MN= no cycle tabs/taxes + super cheap insurance.
