Fettke has some great music. Done his stuff in ensemble format. Will check it out. :-)
I think Obama is but he probably isn’t online right now.
Saw him at the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theater (both in Los Angeles) on some of our early dates. A true maestro.
Don’t even THINK about a piccolo for church music!
Cowgirl.....I guess that goes along with the profession (being away from home, unfortunately). I have band directors as friends and members of my family and they are RARELY home).
Something with either an oboe or violin arrangements.....tho I use vocal (choral) arrangements as well (and switch to 8va when it’s needed).
Amazing Grace.
I will call him tomorrow.
GORGEOUS!!! You seem to be a jazz fan. Are you familiar with Bill Evans? One of my FAVES:

Also one of my VERY faves. Learned this on piano for my hubby who is a big Pat Metheny fan. It it soooo touching and powerful. I imagine a soldier in the field reading a letter from a parent or loved one. Every phrase....so meaningful and tender.

Of course you should be familiar with the tribute Metheny/Mays did for Bill Evans.

You can definitely hear the influence Evans had on Lyle’s playing.
Dont even THINK about a piccolo for church music!

I save that for the 4th celebrations. The intonation is a killer! Particularly on a METAL pic. Composite or wooden pics not so bad, but the borrowed metal one I use is an......ouch!
Yes, you can. Love the instrumental.

Mannheim Steamroller - Bring A Torch, Jeannette, Isabella
Rush likes this group.
The flute was a big part of rock music in the early 70s, and not just Jethro Tull.
Peter Gabriel played a lot of flute on the early Genesis albums, Chicago used the flute on songs like “Color My World.” Even Kraftwerk, before totally going electric, used the flute extensively on some of their early songs.

Bill is a nice man, too. When I was a kid, I used to hang around at Local 47, go to see the all Stars at Shelley Mann’s and cruise the Lighthouse before I could drink. They used to”Red Card the table. Try Bud and Bob Cooper )great player and well underappreciated) on flute and Oboe;
They used to play there with 30-40 of us in the room.

There is a group called Silver, Wood and Ivory. It’s a flute/piano duo. They do some lovely Christmas music.
One of my all time faves is Lo, How a Rose.
Yes they did. Loved Chicago’s use of ‘big brass’ in the background (Earth, Wind and Fire also a fave). My roommate at college used to make fun of my because I would hum the brass parts while I got ready for the day when playing their tapes.
Another GREAT fave of mine is Steely Dan. Hubby got front row/center seats for my b’day.
Wow. Just searched some of your keywords on YT and came up with this. She’s great.

Y’know.....you can NEVER top that. Anywhere....anytime. Always brings me to tears....even we we sing it in the congregation.
Mannheim Steamroller is crap, all crap, and nothing but crap. Do you like John Tesh? No, it’s crap. Just like Mannheim Steamroller is crap.
So Rush likes crap. It’s made him and John Tesh a lot of money.
People pay a lot of money for crap, when they’re told it’s not crap.
