For more than 10 years, Brendan Smith has been telling the story of the Bible in a very unusual way: with Legos.
Through his hit Web site and three popular books, Smith has spread the gospel of The Brick Testament. But now, because of what it says are concerns about mature content, Sams Club, one of the nations largest retailers, has banned in-store sales of the fourth book in the series, The Brick Bible.
On his Web site, Smiths Brick Testament contains a series of interpretations of sexually suggestive passages of the Bible, but in the latest book version, those sections were removed.
I have just been informed that Sams Club is pulling The Brick Bible from the shelves of all of their retail locations nationwide due to the complaints of a handful of people that it is vulgar and violent, Smith wrote on his Facebook page on Monday. This despite the book containing only straightforward illustrations of Bible stories using direct quotes from scripture.
In response to a request for comment from CNET, a Sams Club spokesperson said, We offered the print version only of The Brick Bible in our clubs
.Sams Club received numerous concerns from our members and parents about the mature content in what is perceived as a childrens book. Accordingly, Sams Club made a business decision to discontinue sales.

Why does the media call some of these people “atheist” when their true ideology is “antiChristian”.
He has no plans to mock Islam in legos?
No “true accounting” of the sexual relationship between Mohammed and his pre-teen child bride?
Atheists really do believe in God because they spend their entire life trying to prove He doesn’t exist.
Right!
Choosing not to sell something doesn’t mean it is “banned”
Against my better judgment, I checked out the guy’s side and scrolled through some of the lego stuff. Most of it is merely mocking, but I can see how a couple of the images would be taken as obscene. There is a rather raunchy take on circumcision based on a passage in Genesis, and there’s some stuff in Leviticus that would offend some, I think.
Personally, I wonder how much time a guy has to have on his hands that he can dedicated himself to making an anti-bible Bible using children’s building block toys...
No “Brick Koran” huh? Mrs. Smith’s little atheist bass turd is a yellow bellied coward unless he gives the same treatment to his Muzzie brothers.
Because Islam is of the devil, that is why these cowards don’t attack it.
Some of the most enjoyable evangelists I have heard started out to disprove God's existence. In doing so, they became certain He did exist and now they carry the Word.
An honest atheist will actually research to try to discover the truth. Most of them just make the decision and then cherry pick data to support their "case".
The Bible contains a great variety of passages, including many that are not suitable for children. But unfortunately most adults today are fairly ignorant of the Bible’s contents. I don’t like to see the Bible mocked, but I have no problem with ignorance being mocked.
Certainly the lego Bible is not a book suitable for children.
Exactly. Thanks!
