What admissions? Do you have a link? Everything I have seen he has said that none of these are true. I watch his eyes and body language very carefully when he is being interviewed, and my gut tells me he is telling the truth. I believe he is what he says he is...a successful, compassionate and outgoing conservative man who believes in God, truth and honor.

After seeing what was done to Palin by the drive by media, how can anyone NOT see that the same thing is being done to Cain. He is DANGEROUS to progressives and they must destroy him. I do think he was not prepared for that because he mostly sees the good in people and didn’t think they would pull out all the stops and lie so vehemently and repeatedly to attack his character.

Herman Cain admits payments to Ginger White, edges toward quitting

After seeing what was done to Palin by the drive by media...

Sorry. No comparison. Palin was a target of nothing more than innuendo, and never gave ground -- not even once.

In contrast, Herman Cain has never effectively dismissed the charges against him. He has waffled and dissembled and talked around them since day one. And now, he admits to a thirteen year long liason with a single woman without his wife's knowledge.

Herman Cain is NO Sarah Palin.

Because I don't think the drive-by media was scared about Herman Cain in 1999 and convinced two women to file internal harassment charges against him that could be held until the were needed in 2011.

Because I was a practicing attorney in 1999 and I know that most executives didn't have a sexual harassment claimed filed against them, much less two in a year, and possible three in three years.

Because I've read (and posted) a 1998 study on sexual harassment claims and know that in 1998 even the EEOC rejected 40% of claims as not meriting investigation. So private industries weren't being more generous than the EEOC.

Because I've read (and posted) the report and know that $35K and $45K were waaaaaaaaaay above what nuisance harassment lawsuits were being settled for in 1998, which means that internal claims were being settled for even less.

Because that all means that there was almost certainly something behind the two 1999 claims at the National Restaurant Association.

Because it simply wasn't plausible that the NRA would have paid a claim solely based on Herman Cain holding his hand horizontally to demonstrate that a woman was the same height as his wife (unless perhaps Cain didn't tell us that he also said something like "you must be this tall to ride this ride")

Because Cain didn't have his support until this claims came forward - that's when he got financial support and backers. And that's when he lost them and demonstrated to progressives that he wasn't a threat when he showed his grasp of foreign affairs was only veneer thick.

So, those are some of the reasons why this "anyone" who once supported Cain can't see that the same thing that was done to Palin is being done to Cain. Did I miss anything?

We've had a string of people in public life in the last twenty years to teach us that eyes and body language are not always an effective means of detecting lies. Your gut may be a better indicator.

Then again, until November 4, my gut told me that Joe Paterno was still a moral giant among college football coaches. And had been since I was a boy. Boy, was my gut wrong.
