Is Eric Holder the new Mike Nifong?
Self | December 11, 2011 | PJ-Comix

I was doing a bit of research on disgraced Duke LaCrosse case DA, Mike Nifong, when the thought occurred to me that Attorney General Eric Holder could be the new Mike Nifong. I noticed a lot of parallels. Leftwing sites initially supported Nifong but eventually had to abandon him as the facts of the case became known. Same thing with Eric Holder. Yes, the leftwing sites have been supportive of Holder but it is becoming harder and harder to do so as the facts of Operation Fast & Furious become known.

So what will it take for even leftwing supporters of Holder to give up on their erstwhile hero the same way the were later forced to shun Nifong? Most likely documents still to be revealed that show Holder's deep involvement from the get-go with Operation Fast & Furious. Notice that Holder is stonewalling the release of many documents in that case, including e-mails, even under the threat of impeachment?

I am still wondering when the words "Fast & Furious" will pass through the virgin lips of Brian Williams on NBC. I am sure his "deflowering" will cause him great pain.

The current DA in Durham (one of Nifong’s assistants) has carried on the tradition.

Contrast: Eric the Stonewall to...

Eric Holder, white, Republican, Impeached Attorney General, en-route to a cell in a maximum security federal prison.

So what will it take for even leftwing supporters of Holder to give up on their erstwhile hero ...?

Only if he suddenly shows interest in upholding the Laws of this nation.

That, or becomes white overnight.

That, or becomes white overnight.

Probably at least one third of the way there.

Will Holder be forced to give up his law license like Nifong? I am SURE there are documents and e-mails out there that prove Holder’s DEEP involvement in Fast & Furious from the get-go. You just don’t risk yourself in something like this at a local ATF office without orders from the TOP.

DING! DING! DING! I think we have a WINNER here:

Are there SECRET Fast & Furious emails from Eric Holder?

Note the EVASION on the part of Holder in answering the questions.

This is the same Eric Holder who was involved in the Mark Rich scandal. Like Nifong, Holder also is not bright as can be seen from his comments. Yet Obama appointed him - Obama has a history of appointing incompetent or questionable people as if he were mocking this country.

You are correct. But they know that even if caught nothing will happen to them.

If you or I had lied to Congress or ANY court for that matter we would be in jail. These bastards are above the law. It's time for their reckoning.

How is Holder going to take proper care of “his people” if he allows the rest of us to arm ourselves? Surely a noble goal which makes all the “non-intents to lie”, while telling some whoppers, perfectly OK.../Sarc

Sounds like someone already has the emails, the emails are damaging, and the committee is just trying to get Holder to perjer himself and underscore the degree of cover up at Justice.

Perhaps Lanny Breuer has decided that he does not want spend the rest of his life in a meaningful relationship with a guy named Rufus in a 10 foot cell at Club Fed and has turned states evidence in return for immunity.

This could get interesting.

The most reasonable explanation for what we are seeing with Fast And Furious is that it exposed it top of the iceberg of something so bad that perjury is the least of anyone problems if the evidence come out

I really wish we would get rid of the country club prison and put all these either rich or politically connected crooks in the same system as everyone else. Having a special prison for them is UNEQUAL TREATMENT UNDER THE LAW. And, it is unconstitutional.

These SOB politicians and judges are protecting themselves encase they are ever caught. The left did the same with ending capital punishment for treason.

The incentive to not do wrong needs to be re-instituted.

Eric Holder is Obama's firewall, like Janet Reno was for Clinton. I don't see that much of a parallel to Nifong--Nifong is white so more easily tossed over the side, and small potatoes compared to The First Black Attorney General of the United States.

Holder has nothing to lose in fighting the Committee’s demand for damning documents. Obama won’t force him out unless he has to have the documents seen and he does not have to unless Holder releases those documents and e-mails.

The only way to get him out is through impeachment since it seems he IS above the law as long as everyone sticks to the cover up and the media and Democrats are in the tank.

It would not hurt for a the GOP to run some ads and for some Presidential candidates to bring up DOJ gun running and money laundering corruption and cover-ups over and over again. Tell Obama to stop the cover up!
