My Remington M700 .308 with the 5R MilSpec barrel groups like yours. Great rifle - mine likes the Sierra 168 HPBT match at around 2650 fps.

Is that “MilSpec” barrel, a chromed Helical type? Or is it straight rifled?
I have always had great results from a #5 in the .308. But for 7mm, it seems like a #6 works better. Something to do with harmonics.

I've been feeding mine the same bullets. I'm down to my last box of 100 and thinking of switching to Nosler. Their HP pistol bullets have made a believer out of me both on accuracy and cost (.45 & 9mm).
Rifle bullets cost about same at Midway.
