Merry Christmas from Google
Google home page ^ | December 24, 2011

Posted on 12/24/2011 5:46:17 AM PST by RayChuang88

Click on the first five "lights" beneath the world "Google" left to right (you're hear a tone each time). Then click on the rightmost "light," and the screen temporarily turns dark and the words "Google" turned into a Christmas light display complete with a short rendition of "Jingle Bells."

Merry Christmas, everyone.

would be nice if it were not a holiday song and one where th word Christmas was mentioned....there are plenty of them.

I bet if it were Ramadan, there would be some positive mention of the Holy Mohammed the pedophile.

After playing the song, Google then does a search on the term "Happy Holidays". You were so close to doing something right, Google.

You have to remember this year, Christmas Day is almost smack dab in the middle of the eight-day Hanukkah celebration. Anyone for latkes with either sour cream or applesauce?

I always enjoy checking out this website...they change their logo to correspond to every holiday (and they’re not afraid to capture the true meaning of the day in their logo.) Christmas is depicted as Christmas should be.

Sounds to this poster, like Google did not wish anyone Merry Christmas.

Seems like just more pc ‘holiday’ fluff.

What’s so great about that?

(I’ll have to take other posters’ word for that, I’ll not click on the page)

I see no such image with any "lights" below the "Google". Odd. Even in FF or IE it's the same.

Christmas Day is almost smack dab in the middle of the eight-day Hanukkah celebration
Although a Catholic, I grew up in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood on LI back in the 50s and early 60s.
I remember discussing our different beliefs and was always fascinated by the story of Passover.
In other words - we, as kids, were tolerant long before the Loony Left (falsely) claimed it as their own virtue.
Happy Hanukkah to all our Jewish FRiends.

Actually, Google only wished Happy Holidays.

After I clicked on all the lights and watched the animation, Google took me to the search page with “Happy Holidays” in the search box.

How about a cross instead of a freaking snowflake???

It's somewhat crass to celebrate the birth of a child by foreshadowing his own gruesome execution, no?

Seems like just more pc ‘holiday’ fluff.

Many many moons ago, I worked for a company that did tile setting. I was the only American on the crew. All the rest were Israelis.

I was having a chat with one of the guys at lunch one day. This was near the Christmas holidays. As he was talking, I noticed he pronounced the word holiday as 'holy' day.

In that moment, the true origin of the word was as plain as day to me.

Nice.

Dawned on me reading your post, you just described a great subtle way to make a statement if you’re confronted with a PC liberal you know is deliberately avoiding saying “Christmas” by wishing you a happy holiday.

That same response: “and Happy Holy Day to you also, thanks”.
