I’ve listened to Herman Cain on the radio for years, he is a good man, who wants what is best for the country.
I couldn’t believe so many people here bought into the lies.
This kinda proves what I thought about Cain all along and was castigated for.
Cain was the leader of the move to discredit Rick Perry and drive him out of the race. He dissed him constantly and the Cain devotees here on Free Republic followed suit.
They would join together on come on Perry threads to disrupt. I always thought it was because of Cain.
Maybe Cain was indeed sucking up to Romney. And maybe Perry is staying in the race, syphoning off some of the anti Romney vote because he cut a deal with Mitt.
After all, the guy endorsed Rudy in 2008.

You’re absolutely right. During and after Cainmania, the only person who was hurt was Governor Perry. Cain’s camp implied it was Perry who leaked about the thirteen year, paid relationship that Cain enjoyed.
