Demi Moore was treated at a Los Angeles-area hospital Monday night for substance abuse, according to celebrity website TMZ.
The gossip website reports that police received an emergency call around 10:45 p.m. and paramedics later transported Moore to a local hospital, TMZ said.
“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends,” Moore’s rep told TMZ.
The rep declined to comment on the TMZ report, saying, “We have no information beyond our statement.”
The 49-year-old actress and her estranged husband Ashton Kutcher announced plans to divorce in November 2011.
Moore, star of films such as “Ghost,” “St. Elmo’s Fire” and “Indecent Proposal”, had been married to the “Two and a Half Men” star since 2005.
That would explain the whole dating Aston Kutcher thing.
More reason to understand that endemically scratchy voice of hers.

Staring at age 50, (24/7) while pretending to be 20 is a full time job, man or woman, and must require some number of substances to pull it all off, and on time. Seeing her behavior on a youtube thingy where she is seen dancing with Krutcher somewhere, there seemed to be some straining and reaching a bit at trying to be provocative, that maybe something wasn’t quite natural. Certainly hope she finds herself again. Starting with her Creator would be a glorious beginning.

Never watched it or him, but I don’t seem to remember him being in the few minutes of “2 Nitwits and a Smart@ss Kid” that I once saw.
She did play a stripper once. Maybe she just wanted to get deeper into the “lifestyle”.

There have been so few times that grace and Hollywood were much of a fit together. “They” say that all that role playing and charactor acting reqires empathy and sympathy to be accomplished in that field, and may account for the liberality in the thinking and behavior among actors. That came from viewing 2 weeks ago, on CSpan, a panel discussion with the guy from MASH, Mike someone, and another liberal, both who had written books, and also the more conservative Roger Simon. Simon, however, said of himself that he was not a Christian, and that Mike guy from MASH was explaining the virtues of Socialism. Oh my.
I suspect she’s been using cocaine for weight control and to keep her spirits up. She’s thin as a rail from the last pictures I saw.
