Not familiar with that song, but I like Jars of Clay music.

Gavin Bryars recorded an old man in London years ago...a street singer...a tramp. You can read the story behind it Here. He sang the same verse repeatedly;

"Jesus' blood never failed me yet,
Never failed me yet.
Never failed me yet.
This one thing I know,
For he loves me so."

Gavin re-recorded it in a loop. First as the foreground with no accompaniment. Then with violins and cello coming in from the background and eventually with Tom Waits coming in with his gravely basso profundo. First in harmony and then taking over...all the while singing the same phrase over and over;

"Jesus' blood never fgailed me yet,
Never failed me yet.
Never failed me yet.
This one thing I know,
For he loves me so."

It is an arrangement that will make you reflect and then bring you to tears. It is 4 minutes of music you will never forget.

Jars Of Clay recorded it in their fashion and it is good but the raw emotion of the original is missing.

You could probably find it on the 'net somewhere if you look. I have the original recording. If you want it, Freepmail me and I can get it to you.
