all i knew about Tenn ernie ford was that 16 tons song

That was spectacular and captures what the song was about.
i had to google the song to see where is came from. many theories

but that TEF vid was quite splendid, even the sound of the wind at the end

I really like all three. John McDermott’s is great, but Sissel is a vision of loveliness!

The name, “Shenandoah”, is often listed as the loveliest word in the English language. It is also a beautiful river & valley.
