GALLAGHER SHOCKED BY BURGLAR (There's a weirdo in my kitchen)
Daily Star ^ | 16th February 2012

Rocker NOEL GALLAGHER was left unnerved after a crazed fan broke into his home just weeks after GEORGE HARRISON was stabbed by a schizophrenic.

The former Oasis star moved to the countryside in the late 1990s in a bid to kick his partying lifestyle in London after blowing £1 million on drugs.

Within weeks he arrived home to find a "weirdo" sitting in his kitchen - and the star kept the man talking while his then-wife Meg Mathews called cops. Gallagher admits the incident was "freaky" and he was left shaken as Beatles legend Harrison had recently been stabbed seven times by crazed Michael Abram at his home in the countryside. The Wonderwall hitmaker tells NME magazine, "I'd been out one afternoon and come back and there was a bit of a commotion in the kitchen. There was a guy sat at the kitchen table who had just broke into my house. Just a guy. And this is just after George Harrison got stabbed and all. "He'd travelled all this way, and he'd heard I recently moved there so he was just in there waiting for me, like it was the most normal thing in the world. I was with a friend of mine... so we sat around the kitchen, made him a cup of tea and kept him talking while my missus (wife) went to call the police.

"Now, where I lived was on a country lane and the police couldn't find the house, so I went down to the gate to let them in and said, 'There's a bit of a weirdo in the kitchen - I don't know what's happened, but it's pretty f**king freaky.'"

Sounds like he could’ve used a big noisy dog around the place. Or maybe more than one - I have two.

Why is this relevant to anything in 2012?

I’m just dying to meet Bob Gunton,so maybe I’ll fly out to California, break into his house and take a nap in his bed.

Then I’ll brace myself for a beating from his wife...

The story would have been a LOT more interesting if it were THIS Gallagher.

Bob Dylan once had fans on the roof of his house. He said he wanted to set them on fire.
