In stark contrast to April 29 2011, when their wedding at Westminster Abbey was watched by hundreds of millions of people around the world, the couple are planning to spend the date itself together privately this year.
After their high-profile tour of the United States and Canada last summer, the couple have carried out only a limited number of public engagements together in Britain

Wow, time flies. I feel a year older ...
I watched a BBCA special on Queen Elizabeth’s reign this morning, and I’ll probably catch some of the wedding anniversary specials this weekend. For me, it’s a pleasure and a relief to watch the Royal Family for these reasons alone: tradition and good taste. It’s a pathetic comment on modern society that women who dress like ladies are becoming more and more rare. Warm weather nowadays means everyone dresses like a slob. I’ve actually seen girls wearing terry cloth beach coverups in public. The other day I stood in line behind an obese girl who was wearing shorts and a tank, rolls hanging out all over, tattoos on her legs and up the side of her neck, and flip-flops (how I DESPISE those things). So the Duchess of Cambridge is a pleasant change from that.

I agree, too. Some of the flakier young royals need an honest critic before they walk out the door, but Queen Elizabeth and many others are outstanding examples of public dignity and good taste.
I’m quite fond of Prince Harry, in a “good way for a son to turn out” way.
This year has gone by super fast!!
Will you be attending any of the London Olympics 2012 festivities?
I agree; I think Harry is my favorite. I really admire his courage in Afghanistan and his devotion to his troops. And I like that glint of humor that’s always in his eye. A really good boy, IMO.
They’re getting engaged again? Wow, the rich really are different. ;’) Thanks Perdogg.
