There was a great book written in the late 60’s or early 70’s, ABOMINABLE SNOWMEN; LEGEND COME TO LIFE, by Ivan T. Sanderson. Stories of these creatures in Russia’s Pamir mountains go back hundreds of years, pre-vodka!
Believer or not, it’s a good read.
