Hollywood star Ben Affleck has revealed he keeps guns at home after his actress wife Jennifer Garner was harassed by a crazed stalker.
The 40-year-old actor and director, whose new film Argo is attracting Oscar buzz, admits to owning several guns which he keeps on hand at the $17.5 million mansion he shares with Jennifer, also 40, and their three young children in California's Pacific Palisades.
Affleck said that after Jennifer’s stalker, Steven Burky, was arrested in December 2009, it ‘gave me a stronger sense of feeling protective about my family.'
He told the Hollywood Reporter that he goes skeet shooting and owns several guns, which he has embraced since Jennifer faced a stalker.
He said: 'The stalker had been to our house many times and ultimately came to my children’s school and was arrested.'
Burky was deemed insane in 2010, then placed in a mental health hospital and ordered to stay away from the Affleck family for 10 years and the star admitted: ‘There’s a lot of crazy, weird people out there. It’s an ugly world.’

I couldn’t disagree more with his politics but I have to say when I knew him back when he was 19 years old he was a good kid. He was raised by liberal college professors so you know where he got his beliefs. And of course, when you have millions it’s easy to demand people pay more taxes.
