Those are pit bull status.
I have seen studies form the CDC, that 69% of all attacks are pit bull.
Many states require riders on their home owner/renters insurance to specifiably named pit bulls.
Some apartments or condos ban them altogether.
Having worked with the dogs, I would never own one and discourage people from owning one.
People love their dogs, I get that, it is important to know who they are and why they were bred.

I own a seventy pound animal that you hate. He does not know that he is a pit bull(I haven't told him). He thinks he is the worlds most loving dog and proves it everyday. He is a true joy to be around. I'm lucky in that I spend 90% of my time with him. My grand kids have a very true and loyal companion in Rico. He absolutely adores and protects them while he "babysits" them.

Thug? No. I'm not.
Uneducated? Actually, very educated.
Low life? I'm doing quite well. Thank you.
Trash? You assume incorrectly.
There are plenty of pit bulls that are mis-owned. Mine never were and have been models for what all dogs can be...given responsible ownership.

So much for assumptions.

I have taken in a very sweet, female, pit bull who was a stray animal. Unfortunately, I don’t have the house to be able to keep her. Do you have any suggestions on an organization that would take her? My humane society will not take a pit bull. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
