I know. The Constitution didn’t hold FDR back. Threatening the Supreme Court got him where he wanted to go. National popularity made it possible, which is Stansberry’s point.

Are you implying that FDR got around term limits? Because presidential term limits didn’t exist then. They were put in because FDR had run four times.

The Constitution did not limit Presidential terms until it was amended in response to FDR.

That dealt with interpretation of the Constitution, and it was because he had some New Deal legislation knocked down that he threatened the Supreme Court, a threat that cost him to take a beating in the congressional elections.

We have four more legal years of Obama, no reason to speculate on anything after that.

There was no 22nd Amendment when FDR got a 3rd term.

Nobama will have to throw out the Constitution to get any more than 8 years. Not saying he may not try, just saying lots of patriotic Americans will be standing in the way and if somehow he gets around the 22nd, that will give free rein for Texas and other States to ignore the secession restriction and let the libs and their ComeYets eat cake.
