According to a Dec. 4 report from Cage Potato, Bellator ring girl Jade Bryce sees a bright future for women's MMA.
Bryce, a blonde bombshell who has appeared in FIGHT magazine and Playboy, thinks women's MMA is just a couple years away from surpassing the men's game in popularity.
"I think we have so much amazing talent out there, but we just need more of it to be able to have tournaments," Bryce said.
Bellator typically has at least one women's feature fight on each card. However, the talent pool in some female MMA divisions is perhaps too thin to support a full tournament.
"I love Jessica Aguilar and of course Ronda Rousey is stronger than dynamite," Bryce added. "There’s just not enough women but the ones that we have are amazing. I say give it another year or two and it’ll be just as popular as men’s MMA."
Bellator was slated to have a women's feature bout on its Bellator 84 bill in Indiana, but the fight between Michele Gutierrez and Felice Herrig has been scrapped.
Gutierrez has been replaced by 7-3 Patricia Vidonic.
Female fighters currently signed to Bellator include Zoila Gurgel, Jessica Eye and Elena Reid.

In the meantime, some women are sure to get their brains beaten out with no significant payoff other than to their promotors.
If these participants are ok with that then who am I to complain.....
I think women’s MMA and wrestling are fantastic, and I support them wholeheartedly. If they grow enough more colleges may eventually re-start the wrestling programs killed by Title 9.
