I am rather more optimistic.

Right now Democrats seem to have won a lot. And they won, that is true.

Except they lost the House, so they can be slowed down.

In three years from now, we will be starting a serious presidential campaign. So that year is on hold.

In two years we (could) have a turnaround in the Senate.

So basically that leaves two years.

Except, the second of those two years will be to try to keep the Senate.

So pretty much Dems are going to rush like crazy to implement everything right now.

Which already isn’t working.

I remain cautiously optimistic.

It's way past time for people to come to grips with the fact "America" is now just a big land mass of moochers who hate the military and have just re-elected an African communist scumbag as their president. It is simply not a nation worth defending anymore. America is dead and gone. The Democrats have won.

Too many are buying the illusion presented by the left.

Alinsky Rule 1: "Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have".

The fact is that we have considerable power. We have 3 branch majorities in twice as many states as the democrats. That's a considerable block of power. We also have the house despite the problems there.

The vigilant and proud eagle posted by Liberty Valance reflects your spirit, jongaltsr, and communicates strength to all, especially to youth, who must be taught that liberty requires vigilance and dedication to duty, and that there are those who, like you, stand proud, despite negligence of duty by many of your fellow citzens.

As to the ignorant and "spineless," their limited world view likely would not interpret the symbolism of a "drooping head" and "Once Proud American" as any sort of commentary on "them." Right now, they fit the mold of those described by James Madison in these words:

"Although all men are born free, slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorant--they have been cheated; asleep--they have been surprised; divided--the yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson?...the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government they should watch over it....It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently free." - James Madison

They need to be "enlightened" and "awakened" to their duty to the Creator and to America. We must remember, the "liberals," aka "progressives," have spent decades censoring the ideas of liberty from the textbooks and public discourse. As a result, a large portion of the citizenry lacks understanding of the principles underlying their Constitution.

I have heard of others who have already seen the error of their ways.
