PASADENA, Calif.- The staff of a California animal shelter says they have video of the truck that dropped off 15 Chihuahuas at their front door.
The diminutive dog pack was found early Friday outside the office of the Pasadena Humane Society with no indication of where they had come from.
The only clues are a monogrammed blanket found in one of the wire crates and surveillance video that shows a white pickup truck stopping at the building shortly before dawn.
KTLA-TV in Los Angeles says the city has a misdemeanor law on the books regarding abandoning dogs that carries a fine.
The dogs will be put up for adoption.
There are worse things that could have happened to them.
Yeah. Better Chihuahuas than Pitbulls - as Chet99 once said.
Chihuahua’s adopt-out easily, so I’ve heard.
Turn them loose. Maybe they will make a run for the border.
They aren’t for me but they aren’t bad dogs. I just prefer my Jack Russells.
Alias: Lambchop.

Some of the illegal aliens just released by obama?

Beautiful dog!
I once went into a shoe store to get some arch supports, and I was immediately accosted by two attack Chihuahuas who insisted on being held, scratched, petted, and tummy rubbed while climbing on my lap until I was rescued by the store’s owner.
It was so grueling that when I went back the next day to pick up my custom supports, the little monsters REMEMBERED me, and I had to go through it all over again.
When I went to leave, to my horror, they followed me to the door and whined when I actually walked out.
Seriesly, that was the most fun I’ve ever had in a shoe store in my life.
I just adopted 2 wonderful little chi’s from my local animal shelter this morning. they are absolute little snuggle bunnies! They are estimated to be 10 and 7 yrs old respectively. They were taken in as strays and they were starving, their poor little ribs were sticking out.
We found our chihuahua Coco dumped out in our neighborhood in Feb. She was only about 6 mos old and totally traumatized. She is so cute and loving we cannot imagine a time when we did not have her.
For renters, small dogs like chihuahua’s are their only option for having a dog. Chihuahua’s make great pets and are defenders of their property and humans.
And if Chet99 said it once, he said it a...
Those dogs bark at everything. Leaves moving, cars driving by, maybe even grass growing. And it is an annoying yap, yap, yap.
Big dogs judge what is worth an alert.
There are several things I could say about this, besides the obvious vitriol toward the dumper.
First, maybe someone rescued these dogs (literally) from a hoarder or puppy mill.
Second, maybe the hoarder or mill runner got religion and decided to turn over a new leaf and stop what he was doing, willy nilly.
And for a little humor....

Was it actually a blue Caprice?
Thirty years ago I had an Airedale who didn’t consider anything worth a bark. She would mumble a squeeky whine of anticipation if someone walked too close to the front door such as the mailman. She would bite anyone who tried to touch her. When you first reached in her direction she would bare her teeth, no growl. Then if you actually tried to touch her she would give your hand a soft bite. If you insisted on touching her she would draw blood.
I’d give $5000 for an exact copy of her today. The absolute best dog in the world. Friendly and protective to my wife and myself ONLY. When friends came over they had to tolerate an inspection smell. They received a warning not to touch her if she walks close to you because this is her home and you are in it. She doesn’t want your attention so ignore her and everything will be fine.
She understood curious young children and didn’t attack them but she wouldn’t sit and allow them to pet her either. Oh, what a fantastic dog she was. I stole her from a rancher who used to physically abuse her.
My little 3.8 lb., 14 year old Chi just passed away two weeks ago. She was a perfect little lady and never yap, yap, yappy. So what you say is not true of all of them. I've known big dogs that barked all night just to bark. So what you say about them is not true of all of them either.
