There was quite a bit of clinical research done on psilocybin, peyote, and LSD back in the 60’s.

In his tests on healthy individuals,First error, if they were healthy, they would not have depression. Quit trying to treat symptoms, and treat the underlying cause. But then, that would not be such a money maker would it?

Nothing new. The dopers have been trying to smuggle their shit into the medical field since LSD in the 60's. It didn't work then and it won't work now, although they may get their way with pot.

I never laughed SOOOOO hard in my life at the stupidest things than when I was shrooming. So hard my abdomen was sore the next day. I’ll be the first to tell you that it felt therapeutic...

Shrooms are great if one could control the dosage. You just never know if 3 are enough or 6 are too many.

Magic mushroom drugs could treat severe depression Never tried them, but my guess is that you would be so out of your gourd you wouldn't know if you were depressed or not.

Bull$h!t. The mind is not just a mix of chemicals.
Idiots think that you can just add or subtract a few chemicals and woila! everything is just great again.

I wouldn’t count on every depressive personality to have the same underlying problems, some of which could be brought to the fore rather than alleviated. I also wouldn’t count on every batch of psilocybin to have the same effect on those who consume it. Psychoactives are not for people who have deep-seated fears and suppressed strong emotions. It will come out and it ain’t gonna be pretty. Maybe in a controlled environment with tightly controlled dosages and patients who have been screened for other underlying psychological problems it could be a good thing, but I’d still have my doubts.

The drug appears to stop patients dwelling on themselves and their own perceived inadequacies. Ummm...yeah no kidding Captain Obvious. That's why they cause us to hallucinate and get high. That's why they mess with our minds. Of course it's all artificial. Nothing is really being changed except for the fact that it's escapism. Might as well say that getting drunk causes people to stop dwelling on themselves and our own perceived inadequacies.
