Too bad he didn’t have a pellet gun as one will kill a squirrel yet it isn’t considered a real firearm. Buy one at Walmart - no background check for this non-firearm that kills small animals.
.22 CCI Mini-caps are quieter than a .177 air rifle IMO.
Wal-mart sells the Beeeman “Grizzly” with two interchangeable barrels, one shoots BB or .177 pellet, the other shoots .22 pellet. I have confirmed that the .22 pellet will go through TWO 3/4 inch Western Red Cedar boards at forty feet making a hole that looks like a drilled hole. I wouldn’t want to be shot with it. The .177 pellet will go through one of the boards and make an impression on the second one. I haven’t tried BBs but I am sure it would be a reasonable squirrel killer with BBs.
The Crossman Pump Master 760 (I don’t know what a 7670 is) can kill a squirrel all on its own, if you know how to use it.
That particular air rifle IS a pellet/BB gun with pump action.
It can take out a squirrel with no problem.
Looking at that guys face though: the lights are ON, but no one is HOME!
The air rifle didn’t get him in the soup, but even ONE round of ammo can get a convicted felon a bunch of grief, just like he’s finding out.
