LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lindsay Lohan has checked into a rehab and will not face a probation violation for leaving another treatment facility after a few minutes, a prosecutor said Friday.
Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White said he has received confirmation that Lohan has checked in to a rehab facility and he is satisfied with her location. He declined to say where Lohan is receiving treatment, but a source close to the actress who was not authorized to speak publicly said she has checked in to the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
The "Liz & Dick" star is required to spend 90 days in rehab as part of a plea deal in a misdemeanor case filed after a June car accident.

Part of my sympathizes with her, as she apparently could not find a treatment center where smoking is allowed. IMO, it is stupid to try to force people to give up cigs when there are more pressing addiction issues.

I hope she can beat her addictions. America loves a comeback. Look at Andy Dick. He seems to be doing a lot better and he won over a lot of people with his recent stint on dancing with the stars.

She had no role at all in Harry Potter, and Lindsay has about the same level of classiness as your neighborhood meth head. Liz clearly benefited from the lack of a 24 hour news cycle when she was in her, uh, prime.
Liz has way better acting credentials.
She can produce a rehab travel log for the Discovery Channel pretty soon. ;-)

Why is she listening to the court? It’s not like she will go to jail for more than a week. What has she been arrested for so far? DWI like a billion times, grand theft about 3 times, drugs, hit and run, and what time has she done? 2 weeks? Hey it’s California, it’s not like she will do any real time. Go out! Party!
Betty Ford Center doesn’t have a ‘marilyn suite’ but it DOES have a Liz Taylor Suite and that probably is where she is staying - my wife used to work there.
I am too. What did it for me was AA and living with other people. If I live alone or if I am left alone for more than a few days, fooorget it. The urge is insane to drink. It’s very bizarre because when I am with my family, or my GF , I have absolutely no desire. But if they go away for a weekend or whatever, it hits me like a ton of bricks out of nowhere and I can spend all day trying to resist. Something they never advertise about alcoholism is what an incredible time waster it is. When I was at my worst, the years flew by like seconds. And BTW, good screen name LOL! That was me, but it was more like “Joe case”
