I’d like to make a donation in your name the “human fund”
I say scam to all of the above.
My Father was a sucker for these organizations. After he died, I was looking through his checkbook and he must have gotten on their list.
wow
Human Rights Campaign
I have been bitching about “nonprofits” here on FR for many years. It started when I was researching Judicial Watch. JW was a 501C(3) and I found their 990 filings and read them. Suffice to say that if you looked at them now you would see that they took in over $100,000,000 and from that produced very little. That got me looking at more and more 990’s. I found that many so-called “charities” are in business to push their own political agenda and/or enrich their handlers.
Did you know that the head of The Anti-Defamation League pays its head $500K+ or that Consumers Unions that publishes Consumers Report has 100’s of millions in the bank and is a “charity”? Hey, can you tell me how many “nonprofits” are in Mexico excluding American nonprofits? HINT: The answer is 1-1.
We need to scrap all the nonprofits and the IRS and repeal the 16th amendment and implement the fair tax.
FYI, when I first started bitching about these “nonprofits” there were 500,000, today there are 1,500,000.
The left has been using them for decades to trash and burn legitimate businesses and compete against companies that pay taxes. This is why the left got so pissed off about the 501(C)4 issue and the Tea Party. The left saw it as the right using the same techniques the left has with the 501(C)3’s for decades. They set about to slug mouth those wanting to use the 501(C)4’s because they knew how effective they can be but the truth is that the Tea Party types were not even coming close to abusing the system like the left has.
Nonprofits should ONLY be organizations that feed, cloth and house human beings is these types of entities are allowed to exist. But as I said before, NONE of them should and the entire tax system must be torn down. Reagan tore down the Berlin Wall, the US can tear down the IRS.
Last point, when I first started looking at these groups years back I wondered why Free Republic was not a nonprofit. I know why now, the Robinson family is very smart and they wanted to keep the government out of their business. They were ahead of the game...
I’m assaulted for donations at Grocery stores, Gas Stations, and convenience stores. “Would you like to donate a dollar to blah blah blah”.
Best Charities will always be your local churches, Disabled American Vets, Salvation Army.
After that business came about in Jena, LA, where The Red Cross, with no disaster declared, no homes burnt, no bodies floating in imaginary water, showed up, and started handing out water bottles, and such, it showed that it was a racist political entity.
No mo’ a’ d’at moolah fer you!
The site only lists 10.
Unless they’ve changed their tune SPCA was in the top 5. I thought their charitable contributions were 4.75 or something close to that.
Anyone know where we can see the complete list?
The article only lists ten or so.
Does anyone know the story on the Wounded Warriors Project with the 2 - 3 minute commercials showing horrifically injured individuals. Support them for $19/month.
Is that organization legit or is it a scam?
Second place in the category of wasteful charities will be so far behind you will need a large telescope to look from one to the other.
Red Cross is not on the list? I wonder where they rank.
There are only a half dozen A and A+ Military charities. You can find various lists on “google”. The same 1/2 dozen appear constantly. The Fisher fund and the Semper Fi fund lead the lists
The one I hated was the “United Foundation”. Everyone at work was more or less “pressured” to contribute and “pressured” if you attempted to have the deductions from your check stopped........
