Again the hammer of political correctness kills. Someone that said the N-word 30 years ago.....Yet the same people who point and condemn are the same people that uses the word in their music videos, music and daily life.
Yea, tell me again about the freedom speech thing again.
I guess if you’re white, that doesn’t matter. I don’t care much for Paula Deen but she did not deserve what they’ll going to do to her.

Agreed. I honestly don’t think Paula Deen is a racist, she voted for Obama, for heaven’s sake. I called somebody a retard (I was alone) for pulling out in front of me the other day but that doesn’t mean I hate retarded people, (sorry, mentally challenged). That said, I hope this serves as a learning example to celebrities about stating their political opinions. She came out as a liberal democrat and alienated half her fan base. Now, with this new racist allegation, she’s alienated even more fans. Celebrities, keep your opinions to yourself and do what you do best, sing, act, cook, whatever.

I was in a business meeting and I don’t remember what brought up the subject but I said something about “Indians” referring to what is now “native Americans”. Some liberal bit.. lit into me; when she finished I told her that I was Cherokee and we always referred to ourselves as indians, and some white woman wasn’t going to stop me. She shut up.

I like to watch old TV shows like "The Bold Ones" (1969-72) where they had episodes feature doctors, lawyers, detectives and even a senator played by Hal Holbrook. One 1970 episode was about where a young man in the Black Panthers was accused of murdering a police detective on a raid but in reality, it was his father, who wanted to get him out of the Black Panthers ran up a flight of stairs and out the fire escape, thus accidently pushing the detective where he fell to his death. Burl Ives played a lawyer trying to help the young man in court but the defendant was so angry and even said basically, "they just want to convict another n-----." He said it several times. I don't think they should just toss the N-word on TV, but if it is part of the story, I have no problem. It is like what Michael Savage said, "in 1970, your father had more freedom than you do now."
