Starring Ronald Reagan, Ann Sheridan, Robert Cummings
Small town scandals inspire an idealistic young man to take up psychiatry.
Drama/1942
TCM, Kings Row
Have never seen the ending but the 2/3 I have seen is quite good.
Reagan acted Cummings right off the screen, and this is one of his very best films.
What is astonishing is that Jack Warner never learned his lesson. In 1966 when Reagan announced he was running for governor, Warner famously said, "No, Bob Cummings for governor, Ronald Reagan for best friend."
I thought Cummings was quite appropriate for the role of a medical student. The scene where Claude Rains agrees to instruct him is very interesting.
Kings Row is a great film.
Here are two unusual films I found on the web.
George C Scott as Sherlock Holmes in “They Might Be Giants”

Larry Hagman as Sherlock Holmes in “The Return of the World’s Greatest Detective”
