There’s a cute video of a dachshund playing with an automatic ball-throwing toy (apparently his thoughtful master created it just for him). The little dog’s tail wags with excitement every time he loads the ball in the hopper and then runs back to catch the ball when it is ejected.

Wow...another one!
I have had dogs in my life that I considered extremely (sometimes spooky) intelligent. But I never had one that could play catch with its self.
Of course it might not have been a matter of “could” but rather they chose no to do so.
