We must all remember this crap whenever they say, “Hey, man, we don’t LIKE the law, but we’re sworn to enforce it!” ...blah, blah, blah. They do this ALL THE TIME with gun laws, drug laws, environmental BS, imminent domain, and a whole slough of minor infractions. They selectively ENFORCE laws for the law abiding citizens to extract taxes and raise funds. But ask them to stop criminals, illegal aliens, protected classes breaking the written law, and noooooooooo!
