Find a older one... Get it restored vs new smaller versions.... Don’t like the new, smaller and less capable versions. Mine , as stated, is a 92 and a doctor sold me his in 96. He didn’t like the mpg . It does suck, 12-15 but it is what it is .... A solid do it all 4x4 , shy of Baja and rock crawling in stock form.

Did a frame off restoration on mine in 2006 when I saw prices of the new one. New interior, exterior paint etc ...drive train overhauled, new suspension lift kit, only 4 inches, and all new weather stripping etc ... Looks newer than when I bought it. Mpg still sucks but I’m thinking a gearvendors electric overdrive and a different engine is in its future as well as installing a kit from Australia that let’s me lock and unlock the hubs.

Figure with that I will get maybe 20 or more mpg . Good solid vehicle that has served me well from the high plains to Rockies snow storms
