Amazing! ...the money must have been tied to winning the TV-Show & not Caesars Palace money.
I bet though that next year’s Hell’s Kitchen contracts they sign will have a drug clause causing the winner to forfeit and/all money won if they can’t come up with a clear drug test.
Hubby & I were recently at a hotel where they were filming an episode of Hotel Hell (Gordon Ramsay for those that aren’t familiar) and to spend the night there and eat dinner we practically had to sign away our first born child.
I signed up for the ‘lottery’ they hold for spots just because I wanted the chance to see Ramsay in the flesh. Hubby went along because he’s a good guy and not because he’s a fan of Ramsay!
It was interesting and lots of fun except while we had a great Jacuzzi in the room there was NO SHOWER! Hubby ‘showered’ on his knees trying to get his head under the spigot to wash his hair.
Agree no pity for drug users ever.
It wouldn’t appear that cocaine use prevents someone from being the best cook amongst a field of contestants. But the fact it’s illegal can sure mess up one’s life.

I think it’s time for Gordon Ramsey, Lord Obama and this gal to have a Beer Summit. Obviously she didn’t get the Job because she is Black.
Gordon’s brother died from drugs. He’s quite vocal in that book he dislikes them. His father died from either drink or drug related problems, as well,
I really enjoyed the book. I got the audio version, read by Ramsay for a car ride. Highly recommended, if you like audio. His childhood sounded terrible.

Why should a chef have to pass a drug test? Fly the airliner, be a cop, etc,, I get that. But to sautee a pork chop?

I literally laughed until I cried while he glared at me! I was also very happy that I was only going home and could survive without a repeat of his performance. He had to go to work so didn’t have much choice.

They likely paid her so she wouldn’t sue and had her sign off on it.
EVERY employee of Ceasar’s Palace has to pass..you obviously can’t have druggies working in the casino, or as valets parking cars, or maids who enter guest rooms...in theory some employees could be exempt from testing..but then they’re open to being sued for discrimination...it’s the same thing as cops at DUI checkpoints..they can’t just stop suspicious cars..now they have to waste their time stopping every 4th or 5th car..
They probably did test for drugs before hand, and a few times during. Drug tests aren’t that terribly accurate, and of course drugs don’t hang out in your system forever. Coke is like 72 hours, a little clean time is all it takes... or clean agents.
