Hey, I liked them. What can I say?

I like some 1950's science fiction movies that are, by any objective measure, pretty lousy...I'm in no position to judge!

I remember Morrison hit Forman with a right hook square in the face. The punch was so hard you could see the shockwave travel all the way through Forman’s body. It stopped Forman dead in his tracks and dazed him. But, Forman shook it off after the round. A lesser man would have been knocked stone cold.

I simply can’t believe that is him and that is him at 44.

Unbelievable.

>> He had started denying that he had AIDS and denying that HIV caused AIDS. <<

Reminds me of the late Freddie Mercury of the band Queen. Kept denying he was gay and had AIDS, as it became more and more obvious he was gravely ill. I think he finally issued a press release admitting he was gay and had AIDS 24 hours before he died. Of course, if it had happened today, liberals would be celebrating his lifestyle (sickeningly, I think they even applaud having an openly HIV positive gay DemonRAT replacing another openly HIV positive gay DemonRAT in the Illinois House).

The weird case I don't get is Magic Johnson. I remember being a kid when this guy announced he was HIV positive in 1991, and back in 1992 they had all us grade schoolers panicked about the AIDS epidemic and "living in the age of AIDS" (scared the crap out of us 6th graders, they made the situation in America sound like South Africa). I remember thinking the guy would be dead by 1995. How is it that everyone else who was diagnosed "HIV positive" in 1990 got AIDS within 5 years and died, but that guy is alive and well?

You know what? I’m starting to think Magic Johnson NEVER had AIDS.

Maybe it was all some “effort to spread awareness” and he was on the verge of retiring ANYWAY...?

Shudda been bug food DECADES ago.

Easy E from NWA got it in the late 80s and died in 95 also. Kinda weird some go quick and others last and last.

Tommy, the more literate of the Morrisons. Toni comes up a bit short.

You are correct. Johnson is HIV positive which means he carries the virus. It has never developed into Aquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. He's had the best medicine in the world to keep it that way.

You haven’t missed anything. If you have a live chicken, you can use that in boxing training by chasing it around.

For some reason, AIDS does seem to have fallen off the radar in recent years. Just don't hear too much about it these days. I'm sure it's still a problem but not the cause celebre it used to be amongst the cocktail party set. I guess the "global warming" baloney must have pushed it off to the side.

Anyway, it seems to have done a number on this ex-boxer. That gaunt photo of him makes him look like 65 and he was probably still around 40 when the photo was taken. Does anybody know how he contracted HIV? Nothing in his bio suggests he was into homosexuality.

True, but they were screaming just as loudly about Global Warming and that the earth is dooooooooooomed back in '92. That was the year of Al Gore's "Earth in the Balance".

Perhaps the "AIDS crisis" was replaced by liberals screaming about embryonic stem cells having the power to magically cure everything. They didn't have that card in early 90s. I love how they all scream we "hate science" and yet haven't figured out that science ALREADY proved they were on the "wrong side of history" with the embryos=cure! propaganda.

One of the reasons I don't buy any of this liberal fear mongering hysteria is they convinced us kids that everyone would be dead "by the year 2000" anyway.

Anyway, I don't even recongize that guy from his "Rocky V" days:

I think South Park did an episode on that, showing Magic discovering that the cure is money.

He also seems to be naturally resistant.
