My point is that there is a plethora of policy-based arguments against 0bummer without getting sidetracked with discussions of his sexual orientation. Forcing young people to buy health insurance at above-market prices? That affects me and many other people my age. TSA scanners at the airport? That affects me and every American that flies. 0’s sexual orientation? Not so much, since I have no plans to replace Moochelle as his wife/beard.
I don’t have kids but if I did I wouldn’t stop loving them if one of them did turn out to be a homosexual. I might speak to them about it but parental love is unconditional. Getting emotional won’t change a child’s sexual orientation and may even make homosexuality seem more appealing, the forbidden fruit (no pun intended) is always sweeter, etc. As for my husband, I am single but if I were to marry a gay man it would depend on how far he went with it. If he had unprotected sex with a bunch of guys every night, I wouldn’t want to sleep with him for fear of getting AIDS. But if he was just attracted to other men without acting on it, it wouldn’t be an issue any more than if he were attracted to a hot female coworker but remained loyal to me.
I want to live in a society where people live and let live as long as others don’t flaunt their vices in public (e.g. potheads pressuring me into trying weed). Perhaps you and I have different definitions of what constitutes “in your face” homosexuality but if 0 is gay he’s making more of an effort to hide it than most dems would. Just take a look at the Castro district or West Hollywood and you will see what I mean.
I believe in right and wrong, but I don’t see homosexuality as the worst liberal-supported sin. That would be abortion. I also don’t see how 1% of the population can possibly hurt the traditional family as much as the 51% divorce rate or the increase in heterosexual promiscuity, both of which many Freepers remain absolutely mum about.
I believe in God, which is why I have faith that he will give our bozo-in-chief exactly what he deserves in due time.
The last sentence should read, “...that He will give...”. It’s been a long day.
