If nothing else Breaking Bad showed us that crime pays; as long as you have a marketable product, production skills and a good business plan.

Given the final episode’s ending I could openly fantasize what he could have done, but I really don’t need that kind of official scrutiny in my life right now...

Exactly!

Lets just say it involves a vintage Cacillac. And leave it at that.

“Proud to have never watched it!”

So glaring, proud, and, overt about all of your other ignorances too...???

When the lead character throws away his morality, I can happily bear not watching.

Similarly, while Mad Men is excellent TV, it is pure nihilism. Why watch a social train wreck premised on “life has no meaning?” Because it’s beautifully portrayed, and the people look great?

Sick shows breed sick culture.

The Sopranos at least showed you that while sociopaths can be charming, they are still in the end destructive sociopaths.

Let’s have a little morality in our entertainment, eh?

If not, you can watch, and I’ll call it a skip in favor of a nice walk in the woods.

You obviously didn't watch the final episode of Season Six.

It took six seasons for me to be proved wrong? Happily, I avoided 5.9 years of The Wasteland.

Proud to have never watched it!

As vpintheak shambles the dance of superiority.

I prefer to know, then judge.

The whole point of the show is Don grappling with his past. The ultimate resolution will be who will he ultimately decide to be, the person he was before, or will he remain the alter ego he created.

After the first three shows, I found it to be so amoral and pointless that I couldn’t watch anymore.

If they eventually had a point other than the meaninglessness of life, they lost me too quickly. I can’t take my entertainment with a profound disregard for humanity and G-d. I turned it off.

It was gorgeous TV, though, I’ll hand them that.

One of the things about Mad Men is that they released small tidbits of Don’s past over time through flashbacks.

Ephesians 5 1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

FWIW

Tried to watch a few episodes, just couldn’t like it. Why choose scum when you can do better? I can’t get into the Biker show on FX either. Can’t root for scum, that’s about it. It’s like rooting for the GOvernor on “The Walking Dead”. Just can’t do it.
