SO, apart from the sheer arrogance and legislative stupidity of this POS law, it’s not enough to ‘certify’ that the firearm is no longer within the city limits? Now, you have to, also, report the precise location of the firearm, outside the city?
Pound Sand, NYC.
This is a perfect opportunity for communities or neighborhoods to organize. Police typically will target a single home or individual and deploy an army against it, knowing that the overwhelming force will afford the effort success. It’s a slightly different story if they have to take on an entire neighborhood, with ideal sniper hides, equal force, and the prospect of heavy losses.
A "vacation" in one of those neat little FEMA camps?
Exactly. Even if the new mayor wanted to “raid” some legal gunowners, what’s he gonna do, get warrants for every single registered rifle in the city? That’s assuming that you could even get a warrant based on a registration list.
So they’re going to go the “voluntary compliance” route, and see if they can get guys to barf on themselves.
Thanks Kip Russell.
NY Freepers can feel free to give their now illegal guns to this Texan. I can then choose to “store” them wherever I choose, right?
