Do you automatically clear cookies?

no you should NOT being doing that. the reason they asked is if you clear cookies (which is NOT a default setting to my knowledge so you would have had to actually set it to this.) is that would in essence tell your browser each time you come back that you need to sign in again.

If you have retained the cookies (which is usually a default setting) you've already told the computer you have signed into the site and there is no need to do this again. If you get rid of cookies each time it deletes this knowledge.

A cookie basically recognizes you and your info. This is why if you put some stuff in a shopping cart on a website and left the site and came back to it a day later your stuff is still in the shopping basket. (from one blonde to another--haha)
