Thatcher had two strikes against her.
1) She was conservative
2) She was white
Just as the left went on to deify Kennedy, so it would appear that the Left is on a course to deify Mandela.

I bet National Review probably didn’t have as much praise for Thatcher as for Mandela. Mandela to them was the most revered leader ever, he had “unmatched moral authority”.

I too was annoyed that Obama was attending this funeral, while skipping Lady Thatcher’s. Upon reflection, I’m glad he didn’t attend, and I suspect that Maggie is happy that he missed it also.
