seriously - depends where and what time of year
He also stresses to have the following ready in your car: Shelter, water, fire, food.
Shelter, fire and water are fare more important for short-term survival than food.
Some people think I live in the wilderness. I guess it is a matter of relativity. Some can’t survive the big city either.
Nope, that’s why I live in a city. Even on a rare hike home isn’t far away, the nice part about living in a bowl, even if you lose the trail go downhill eventually you’ll find Tucson, then you can get a cab to your car.
I could survive here in familiar northern forest.
No and that’s why I never go to ‘the wilderness’.

Good friend of mine is with SAR .... when I asked her from her experience what most folks die from, her answer was ‘exposure/injuries’. Hypothermia kills in a hurry ..... I’ve had to deal with it before, personally & with other folks so I know how it works and it’s not something you want to have to face, if at all possible.
