Not sure if I’ve seen a wild eagle. I have seen huge vultures that have swooped down for my dog. Also lots of pink flamingos are around.
Amen brother, it’s an awesome bird.
You had better get a photo of him before he gets “sliced and diced”by one of OBONGO’s Windmills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nature heals me every day! I, too, was feeling down about all the cr@p going on in DC these days, and as I was leaving for work (to pay my taxes and support the LOSERS in Life’s Lottery) there was an American Bald Eagle sitting in the big old stately oak tree at the end of my driveway. Cheered me right up!
It’s always an amazing feeling, even though I’ve seen dozens through the years because they live around here. :)
I am fortunate enough to live in a place where I see them quite frequently. The excitement never wears off for me. To me, each time is like seeing one for the first time.
1. he’s on his way out of the country, can’t stand it here anymore
2. he’s running away from the ObamaCare salesmen, you know the naked gay ones desecrating the Christmas tree
3. he’s running away from the KFC procurements posse
4. he just stopped by to say...
Merry Christmas, one and all!
We have one here in the area. So far I haven’t been able to capture it with the camera. I saw it in a dead tree branch over the lake one morning and I saw it on the ice a few weeks back.
don’t know where you live but a couple of years ago my daughter took a picture of one sitting in a tree at the end of her road. (rural) Michigan
We have several bald eagles that live a few miles from my house, so I see them often. But, they never fail to be impressive!
You are right that God’s plan will not be thwarted, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t have to live through some truly horrible times as that plan plays out and Satan is permitted his time of temporary victory. We just have to stay strong in our faith as the bad people seem to win for a while. We know how it ends and that will have to be our motivation to see it through.
Well met.
The first time I ever saw bald eagles outside of the zoo was during a train trip. We went by a portion of the upper Mississippi and there were a whole gang of them hanging out with the fisherman in waders. It was the coolest thing! They’re pretty intimidating. LOL
I don’t know whereabouts that you live ZC but I’m in western Washington and we do see them more frequently than I ever thought I would. We get a couple variety of hawks too.
Amazing critters!
Are you sure it was alive?? Are their any wind farms nearby? They usually don’t lay down when they sleep...
Bald eagles fish the Mississippi River behind my house. Can see them soaring up and down the river from my deck...
I see a couple of dozen a year. I have worked in chemical plants most of my life and Bald Eagles love that fact plant are usually isolated and near water. Last time I saw one it was sitting in a small tree about 25 feet off of a major interstate highway.
