Btw, remember that Farrow starred in Allen’s movies. She didnt get rid of him until the nude pictures of the one daughter.

It is possible she turned a blind eye - mothers have been known to do that.

If he can’t sing, then he’s definitely Dylan, and if he can, then he’s Sinatra!

This is what it’s like.

[and why it’s hard to just “get over it”]

btw, I absolutely love Frank and have quite a few tracks made from his studio master tapes - incredible sound quality! Some tracks are “dry” and have studio chatter - funny guy that Frank!

From the link...

These things happened so often, so routinely, so skillfully hidden from a mother that would have protected me had she known, that I thought it was normal.

Ok, your facts are just wrong.

The nude photos of Sonn-Yi were found in Allen’s apartment. She was 21 at the time. Allen never lived in Farrow’s home, nor did he ever stay overnight at her home. By Farrow’s own account Woody Allen had little to with the Farrow-Previn children.

In fact Farrow kind of brought this on herself. She recounts in her own memoir the she was disappointed her children with Andre Previn had so little interaction with Woody Allen. So, in 1990 she actually encouraged Soon-Yi to spend time with Allen. Which was kind of odd given that by all accounts her relationship with Woody Allen had become distant by 1990 and was on the rocks.

Odd... certainly, but it’s a pretty huge leap to go from Allen dating a 21 year old woman to child molestation.

Again I suggest you read the NY Times account at the time by the Connecticut police into Farrow’s allegations:

http://www.nytimes.com/1993/05/04/nyregion/doctor-cites-inconsistencies-in-dylan-farrow-s-statements.html

“The doctor who headed the Connecticut investigation into whether Woody Allen molested his 7-year-old daughter, Dylan, theorized that the child either invented the story under the stress of living in a volatile and unhealthy home or that it was planted in her mind by her mother, Mia Farrow, a sworn statement released yesterday says.

Dr. John M. Leventhal, who interviewed Dylan nine times, said that one reason he doubted her story was that she changed important points from one interview to another, like whether Mr. Allen touched her vagina. Another reason, he said, was that the child’s accounts had “a rehearsed quality.” At one point, he said she told him, “I like to cheat on my stories.”

Dr. Leventhal said: “We had two hypotheses: one, that these were statements that were made by an emotionally disturbed child and then became fixed in her mind. And the other hypothesis was that she was coached or influenced by her mother. We did not come to a firm conclusion. We think that it was probably a combination.”

And later:

“Even before the claim of abuse was made last August, he said, “The view of Mr. Allen as an evil and awful and terrible man permeated the household. The view that he had molested Soon-Yi and was a potential molester of Dylan permeated the household.”

Dr. Leventhal said it was “very striking” that each time Dylan spoke of the abuse, she coupled it with “one, her father’s relationship with Soon-Yi, and two, the fact that it was her poor mother, her poor mother,” who had lost a career in Mr. Allen’s films.

He also said it was possible that Miss Farrow encouraged her child to fabricate simply by videotaping her telling the story, because Dylan liked to perform.”

“The Brother abused boys.

But possible he could have abused girls”.

It is possible but who knows. It is sad for the little girl.

There are reports that the photos of the Nude were when she was 15 but found when she was an adult.

Yeah there are all kinds of “reports.” You seriously think Farrow’s attorneys would not have admitted that in evidence in a child custody hearing?!?!?!

Farrow threw out so many allegations it’s virtually impossible to know what happened in this case. What we have are cold, dispassionate facts from a court hearing and decision.

Given the age of the child and the time frame, I am reminded of the various day care made up prosecutions in the 1980s and 1990s, just before/concurrently with this event. In most of those cases, the prosecutors likely (or provably) implanted memories into very young, impressionable children.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_care_sex_abuse_hysteria

Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno got a large part of her start prosecuting questionable cases like this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Reno#State_Attorney

In short, I question the whole thing here. One thing the day care hysteria of the 80s and 90s showed us was that it is very possible to implant “memories” of things that did not happen into young children.

I dont buy it. It was a sleazy thing for allen to have an affair with his girlfriends adopted daughter, but a child molester? No. I think mia made up those charges as a way of exacting revenge. And I think dylan here is lying.

As further commentary on your post, see my previous post just above relating this event to the day care hysteria prosecutions of the era.

I’m no big fan of Allen, but think it quite likely something like memory implantation of the sort that happened in these day care witch hunts might have happened in the midst of a contentious divorce between Mia and Allen.

Boy you're sensitive about this.

Allen doesn't seem like “any man.”

He may not be “lying” in his own mind. See my post just above yours, and the implanted memories child psychologist interviewers for the prosecution were able to create in the children involved in those cases.

It was a child custody case involving an under age daughter.

Didn’t the Judge seal some info.

Btw, the Judge felt there was reason to deny Allen visitation.

http://www.nytimes.com/books/97/02/23/reviews/farrow-verdict.html

he lost two custody trials and appeals.

And this is interesting
“ The file for Dylan’s case in New York City’s Child Welfare Administration is nowhere to be found, someone close to the matter tells Orth, although it would ordinarily have been marked “indicated” to signify that it merited further attention—a potential red flag in allowing someone to adopt children.”

This is most curious:

“The justice said he believed the conclusions of the psychotherapists had been “colored by their loyalty to Mr. Allen.” He added that the unwillingness of members of the Yale-New Haven team to testify at the trial, except through a deposition by the team leader, and the destruction of the team’s notes had “compromised my ability to scrutinize their findings and resulted in a report which was sanitized and, therefore, less credible.” “
