“Yom” can admittedly mean either a day or an age. But you’ve got to remember that this word was used in conjunction with “the evening and the morning” throughout Genesis 1. Difficult to squeeze long ages within an evening and a morning. Whenever that phrase is used with the word “yom,” it ALWAYS means a solar day. The Holy Spirit even went further and used ordinal numbers (first, second, etc.) in combination with the word “yom,” and that also ALWAYS means a solar day. In this case there’s all three are combined. It’s almost like He anticipated the compromise with the world. ;)

But this idea of creation doesn’t only appear in Genesis 1. It’s literally throughout the Bible. God spoke through prophets proclaiming that that HE created everything, and men praised Him for His creation.

There’s also passages like these:

Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Rev 10:5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

To believe in evilution means one thinks God lied, these angels are lying, etc.

This is all so unnecessary to compromise God’s Word in this way. It’s laughably ridiculous to believe that chemicals can spring to life unaided. We know too much about how stupendously complex the most “simple” cell can be. Darwin was ignorant in that he thought “simple” cells were just blobs. We know better now.

AND there’s zero evidence for fish evolving into reptiles into birds, etc. None. Within species, sure. That’s why there are things like zorses, zeedonks, (both horse family or kind), and ligers and tigons (both cat family or kind).

Having faith in God is important, but even more critical is which God we have faith in. Having faith in the God of the Bible is what saves our souls. But if we have faith in the dual pagan gods of “time and chance,” if that’s our creator, then that’s a BIG problem. Because this is what the Holy Spirit commanded John to write:

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

THAT’S the Christ we’re to have faith in: Our Creator.

As for me and my house . . .
