Video: Small cat battles large dog for its dinner [video; neither animal hurt; funny!]

This small cat wanted to steal this dogs dinner, but the large hound was having none of it.
The cheeky feline was brave to take on the much larger animal but inevitably came out second best.
A YouTube video showed the cat desperately hanging on to a piece of meat that was in the dogs mouth.
After sitting still for a moment (presumably because it was shocked) the hound got tired and swung the small animal around as it attempted to wrestle the food away.
The dog finally managed to pull his lunch from the cat, which was left by itself on the floor.

Dogs profess to be pack animals, but one alpha dog always rules the roost. Cats are individualists, who form their own decentralized social structure. Dogs are Democrats, while cats are clearly Republicans.

I have both, but 0bama is more of a cat-like 0verlord than a dog fun buddy.

My cat is a taker.
My dog is much more of a giver.

Respectively disagree. I've seen cats catch mice, birds, ...whatever it takes to survive..dogs, not so much. Put them both in the wild for a year. My money is on the cat. Every time.

I agree. Left to their own in dire circumstances...doggy will walk right up to the SPCA truck driver for a handout and euthanasia. Cat....well, I have no idea how they even capture them unless they're extremely docile or they shoot a dart into them. Maybe traps. I don't know. Cats are definitely more self sufficient.

Cute kitten, but it’s lucky to be alive! A friend of mine rescued both dogs and cats, and at one point had a very tame Australian shepherd that had become friends with one of the kittens she was raising. The dog and the kitten would lie down together, cuddle, etc. But one day the kitten got into the dog’s dish, and the dog just picked him up, shook him, and threw him aside. Killed the kitten stone dead, broken neck. This video is cute but I hope it does NOT inspire anyone else to let their kitten, cat, or kid get between the dog and supper. Just not safe.
