The man behind the footage of calling a fraud soldier out for wearing Ranger, E.O.D., and 101st Airborne Tab was arrested immediately after the video by the campus authorities.
The reason? He was charged with disturbing the peace and making threats against a phony soldier who was pretending to serve and die for our country.
The police reported that Vieira, the man confronting the fake soldier, approached him on several occasions and verbally assaulted the fraud! Well theres a pretty valid reason behind the so-called unnecessary assault.
Vieira, who uploaded video of the confrontation to YouTube, was later arrested by campus authorities for confronting the man in military clothing.
(Vieira) approached him on several occasions and verbally went after him, Delta police officer Jim Bock told KXTV. Hes been counseled on each occasion to stop. There are proper ways to handle these issues.
The man who was wearing fake tabs told the authorities that he did indeed serve as a Ranger. What a fraud! The police also told KXTV that it is not illegal to wear a uniform as long as the person wearing it is not trying to reap any benefits.
Vieira thinks otherwise, and Im sure the rest of you reading this do as well.
It strikes a nerve when someone goes around faking that uniform. Its very disrespectful, Vieira said.
Were the authorities justified for arresting a man who got emotional and upset over a liar because his 4 Ranger brothers died serving for our country? He is a proud Ranger, and we believe he is as innocent as you can be.
People who have separated with an honorable discharge are authorized to wear their dress uniform at ceremonies or public events, but that’s about it.
This guy obviously never served a day in his life, and he most certainly never earned his Ranger tab. If you told a real Ranger to remove his tab or else, that guy would fight with everything he had.
Someone is “pretending to serve and die for our country”?
Pretty poorly written article ...
Second video isn’t working.
The guy wearing the uniform probably just thought it looked cool. Ignorant, not malicious.
The guy calling him out, of course, should not have been arrested. The cop who arrested him needs a (metaphorical) beat-down.
I have known many rangers and USMC people. They will fight to the end to defend their colors. They will call out people who wear t shirts or jackets that imply they were members.
They sweated and bled for the right to wear the globe and anchor or the ranger tab. And for some poser to try and pass themselves off as being one is sad.
Maybe a week in Boot Camp or Ranger school will cure them.
We already have his name and his records; http://thisainthell.us/blog/?p=40427
He has no teeth.
Since the military is covered by special laws under the UCMJ, I think we should have an additional special law for those pretending to be covered by it: Automatic enlistment as an E-0 (A new rank for prisoners) for 5 years hard-labor penalty for attempting to defraud the public by making them think they are covered by special laws.
Let’s not forget, the UCMJ conveys special handling under civil and criminal law for military personnel. Attempting to defraud the public into thinking your are covered by those special laws means you should be held accountable for them.
Good.

Thanks.
