What the hell is BCE?
I’m sure you know very well what it means, but if not, try an internet query. The BCE thing has been “discussed” to death on many a GGG topic, and is a massive waste of bandwidth.
Before the Common Era. It was a term originally invented in the 19th Century by British Jews so that they could use the same dates as everyone else without offending their religious beliefs. It is now widely used by archaeologists, especially in the Middle East, where avoiding offense to Jewish and Moslem sensitivities is a necessary part of archaeological work.
