Yeah, I worked my way through HS and college at a 24 hr gas station. (back when there was still such a thing as full service!) I've worked every shift including many third shifts. Never saw anything like that.
I highly recommend to our young FR readers that you get a job (if only for a while as a starter job) that puts you in contact with the general public. It will do wonders for your perspective on people. I'm constantly amazed that some people are able to feed, clothe, and clean themselves without assistance...

You know the most fun I had was when my daughter reached dating age and she complained that the boys in her school, who grew up while I ran the restaurant, were afraid of me. I just smiled and told her they had good reason to be!
