Damn hobbits!
"it is being suggested that the necromancer will return and fight the White Council. But it is also believed that the White Council will most probably defeat him."

Gee-you mean just like the books says happens?
What title will be next?
SMAUG to Survive and Destroy Laketown!!!
It is rumored he will die only after being shot with a black arrow by Bard!
SMH
Aragorn will not become King!
But its rumored he will.
The ring will never be found!
Until Smeagol finds it.
Legolas will be killed at Helms Deep!
But he will actually survive.
Well that is definitely NOT in the book. Sauron was not involved in the Battle of The Five Armies. He was but mostly spirit at that time. His coming having been told in the following three books.
First Hobbit movie? I didn't like it.
Second Hobbit movie? I couldn't wait for it to end.
I'm huge, huge Tolkien fan, and I just don't know if I'll bother to see the third Hobbit movie.
Seriously? Did you watch them? I thought they were a little long given that the book was a tiny thing compared to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but at the end of the second movie, I was ready to watch another three hours.
The second movie was about 90% filler. I found it exceedingly tedious.
I couldn’t decide who the second movie insulted more: the viewer, or JRR Tolkien. Without hyperbole: the biggest wasted opportunity in the history of movie making. Could have been phenomenal, instead it was silly garbage that completely ignored everything that made Tolkien a master.
Peter Jackson thinks he is better at creating a compelling story than Tolkien is (since he pretty much ignored the book when creating the movie). He is very, very wrong.
Any word Dennis Kunsicah going make appearance
I know my bad LOL!
I doubt we will see any more of Sméagol.
I was about to crank up when I went to see Smaug at the theater with friends. There was a young woman sitting near me that would jump in horror every time Legolas was in peril... I was like, uh...hello? didn’t ya see the other ring movies? You really think Legolas is gonna bite it in the Hobbit movies?
Jackson is stretching the content of The Hobbit in three ways: adding extraneous characters and subplots, adding action sequences which look like they were designed to turn into video games, and supplementing basic story of The Hobbit with contemporaneous events from the Tolkien canon.
Done right the confrontation between the White Council and Sauron (in his guise as the Necromancer in southern Mirkwood) is of the last sort. The finding of the Ring occurred in the same year that the White Council “drove” the Necromancer from Dol Guludur (or more likely Sauron made a long-planned strategic retreat to Mordor).
I really wish Jackson had stuck to the canon. Adding material from the appendices of LOTR to The Hobbit is a perfectly reasonable way of handling the fact that the movies are released as a “prequel” to the LOTR movies, so we all know what it is that Bilbo found, who Gollum is, and the like, unlike folks who read The Hobbit when it was first published, then LOTR. He could have had two movies and been faithful to his source material, but no, he wanted to have three and video-game revenues, too.
Well said.
He couldn’t decide whether he was directing The Hobbit: the video game or Hobbific: The First Hobbit Fanfiction Movie.
And it showed.
It blew chunks and had almost nothing in common with the book.
That was my impression as well.
It is, after all, ALL ABOUT *ME*.
