It has been pointed out that more and more, we live in a “dictatorship of magic” by government.
For example: symbols are the *same* as reality.
A boy nibbles a Pop-Tart into roughly the shape of a gun. By the rules of “government magic”, it is the *same* as a real gun.
Another example: ordinary words are in fact incantations. This works in two ways.
When leftists create new words, like replacing “handicapped” with “differently-abled”, they think it magically changes reality, making handicapped people less handicapped, or not handicapped at all.
However, when conservatives use common language, the exact same words are magically peppered with racial and sexist invectives.
Going further with this, the left believes that conservatives *cannot* speak the truth, because when they try, it is magically converted into lies as it leaves their mouth or writings.
Yes, and when a Conservative does speak the truth the leftist claims he feels threatened.
In doing so the Conservative creates a ‘ hostile environment ‘ where he is then dealt with.
I’ve seen this so many times it makes me sick.
