Look backwards to get some new ideas—ever hear of Brick Bradford and the Time Top? Maybe Prince Valent in Camalot? There is also Crash Corrigan and the Undersea Kingdom? My favorite—the best sieral of them all—Dr. Satans Robots! (with The Cobra).

Why can't Hollywood come up something genuinely new? Because audiences have shown them over and over that they prefer the familiar. And when you're marketing something you spent hundreds of millions of dollars to make, it's a lot easier when people have some idea what it is beforehand.
